Backups in the 1inch Wallet allow you to create an encrypted snapshot of your wallet’s data, including added wallets, bookmarks in the web3 browser, and contacts in your address book. This snapshot can later be used to restore your wallet on a different device if needed. Backups are securely encrypted and can be stored in Google Drive for Android devices or iCloud for iPhones.
Neither 1inch nor Apple will have access to the data stored in your iCloud account, which is additionally encrypted with a user-provided passphrase or with your Apple ID.
Before enabling iCloud backup in your 1inch Wallet, please make sure that iCloud Drive is on.
Enable cloud backup for iOS
From the home screen, navigate to Settings > Backup > Cloud Snapshots.
Toggle Autosave on. Autosave means that snapshot creation will be triggered automatically upon creating or deleting a wallet.
Enter and repeat your backup encryption passphrase.
Tap Export backup file.
The new snapshot will be created and will start uploading to your iCloud. You can check the upload status by navigating to Saved Snapshots.
In addition to automatic backup saving, you can create backups for iCloud manually. To do so:
Navigate to Settings > Backup > Saved Snapshots.
Tap Create Snapshot.
Enter your backup encryption passphrase twice.
Tap Export backup file.
A new snapshot will be added to the list and will start uploading to your iCloud.
Enable cloud backup for Android
From the home screen, navigate to Settings > Backup > Google Drive.
Toggle Google Drive backup on. Sign in to your Google account following the instructions on your screen.
After successful sign-in, tap Create new backup.
Enter your backup encryption passphrase. If this is your first time enabling cloud backup, set up the passphrase by entering it twice.
Tap Done.
