Backups in the 1inch Wallet allow you to create an encrypted snapshot of your wallet’s data, including added wallets, bookmarks in the web3 browser, and contacts in your address book. This snapshot can later be used to restore your wallet on a different device if needed.

You can create backup snapshots manually at any time. If you want backups to be made automatically, see How to manage cloud backups.

Make a backup snapshot

  1. From the home screen, navigate to

    1. For iOS: Settings > Backup > Backup File and tap Save snapshot.

    2. For Android: Settings > Backup > File backup and tap Export file.

  2. Enter and repeat your backup encryption passphrase, and then tap one of the following:

    1. For iOS: Export backup file

    2. For Android: Done

  3. Select how to handle the created backup file:

    1. Save to your device locally.

    2. Share with one of the options available through the share menu.
