***If you are new to the concept of blockchain gas fees (including gas limits), please see this article.
***Also, for a deeper dive into the advanced mechanics (EIP 1559) of how Ethereum gas fees work on 1inch, see this article.
How to change the gas limit and price (basic)
To adjust the gas limit, first you will need to enable the feature display. To do so, open the 1inch iOS Wallet. Then, on the home screen, tap the settings icon in the lower right corner.
Within the settings menu, tap "Advanced".
Then, tap the toggle button next to "Display Gas Limit" to enable the feature.
How to change the gas limit (once enabled):
The gas limit can be changed both when sending tokens or swapping them. In this example, we will change the gas limit when sending.
To send, tap the "send" button.
Next, tap the 'transaction settings' button in the upper right corner, or tap anywhere in the displayed gas settings area at the bottom of the screen.
On this screen, you will be able to enter a custom amount for the gas limit and also choose between 3 pre-set gas prices (Low, Medium, High).
How to customize gas prices (advanced)
To customize the gas price tap the "Advanced" button within the transaction settings screen.
From here, you will have the option to set both the Max Fee and the Priority Fee. The Priority fee is also known as a "miner tip", and is added to the base fee to create the total "Max Fee".
***Note: The Max Fee must be greater than the sum of the base fee and the miner tip combined. If it is lower than or equal to that sum, you will see this error:
In this example, a Max Fee of 195.22 or higher must be used for the transaction to be successful.
