With the release of "Simple Mode", 1inch enables users to exchange crypto assets in a more user-friendly and streamlined interface. This is different from "Classic Mode" which offers live charts, limit orders, flashbot transactions, and many more advanced features.

Simple Mode offers three methods of swapping: 1inch router, "Direct Swap", and OTC (Over the counter).

Each method shows a different rate, so you can easily see which path gets you the best deal. In addition, Simple Mode also utilizes Permit 712 - Signed token approvals, eliminating the need to submit approvals for specific tokens!

The options:

1inch:

This option will route your transaction in the most efficient method possible , often providing the best rate for your swap.

Direct swap:

Choosing a direct swap will route your trade directly through the Dex with the most liquidity (for example Uniswap or Sushiswap). It is a simple path without any additional hops. (not always the cheapest)

OTC:

OTC mode is a great option for moving larger amounts of funds. Choosing this will route your transaction off-chain through registered Private Market Makers (PMMs), greatly reducing slippage and eliminating the risk of front running or MEV.

Permit 712 - Signed token approvals

The following tokens can now be swapped on 1inch without having to submit a full approval:

Ethereum: 1INCH, BAL, DFX, FEI, LQTY, MIST, OPIUM, TORN, vVSP, wNXM

Binance Smart Chain: 1INCH, BONDLY, DFX, FAST, GTON, ICE, NMX, bBADGER, wSOTE

Polygon: ANY, BIFI, ELE

While limit orders are not available in Simple Mode, clicking the 'Limits' tab will take you back to 'Classic Mode', where a limit order can be placed.

In addition, all of the familiar settings of gas prices, slippage tolerance, partial fill, optimized router, liquidity sources, and custom tokens are still available to change in Simple Mode.

How to switch back to Classic Mode:

Simply click the "Trade" tab at the top of the page, and select "Classic Mode".
